Community holding candlelight vigil for Kaylin Gillis SCHUYLERVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A candlelight vigil will be held in memory of Kaylin Gillis Thursday evening, April 20, at 7 p.m. in Fort Hardy Park. Organizers say it will be a silent vigil with no speakers. "Attendees are welcome to bring photos or signs to commemorate the beautiful person Kaylin was," added a spokesperson for the Schuylerville Central School District. The organizers of the vigil are members of the community who would like to remain anonymous, they said.The vigil is expected to last about an hour. All are welcome.

(NEWS10) -- Lulu, the 13-year-old Himalayan cat who was almost euthanized before being brought to the Dutchess County SPCA (DCSPCA), has been adopted. Ellyn said she heard about Lulu when she popped up in her newsfeed. She had to put down her 21-year-old cat in September and was looking to adopt another. "I wanted an older cat and she's 13 and specials needs," said Ellyn. "My other cat was 21 with special needs. And my first cat's name was Lulu."According to DCSPCA, Lulu was originally brought to a veterinarian’s office to be euthanized because she was urinating outside of her litter box. Since that's not a reason to put down a cat, DCSPCA took Lulu back to the shelter. Lulu had urinary crystals, a condition treated with a special diet, and that is why she wasn’t using the litter box. 20 years later: Arrest made in homicide cold case WALLKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) - New York State Police have made an arrest in a 20-year-old cold case. Police said Megan McDonald was murdered in March 2003. Read the latest on the fatal shooting of Kaylin Gillis Edward Holley, 42, of Wawayanda, has been arrested and charged with Murder in the Second Degree. McDonald was found dead in the town of Wallkill, Orange County, on March 15, 2003, from blunt force trauma.

Chad Katzakian Arrested after Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Southworth Road [Wallace, CA] Suspected DUI Crash near White Owl Drive Left 66-Year-Old Lodi Man DeadWALLACE, CA (April 20, 2023) – Sunday evening, Chad Katzakian was hospitalized and arrested after a fatal motorcycle crash on Southworth Road.According to reports, the incident happened around 6:00 p.m. along Southworth Road north of White Owl Drive.Investigators said a 2004 Harley-Davidson driven by a 66-year-old man from Lodi traveled south at an unknown rate of speed. The rider lost control and went off the east shoulder, running into two barbed-wire fences and into a grass field. At the same time, 62-year-old Chad Katzakian was following the first rider and also crashed into the field.Medical responders said the first rider succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
