Kitten takes a wild ride underneath Orange County woman’s SUV A kitten in Orange County wasted no time cashing in one of its nine lives.A Buena Park woman was driving on Knott Avenue last week when, according to the Orange County Fire Authority, she saw the kitten sitting in the middle of the road.She stopped her SUV to move the furball out of harm’s way, but by the time she got out it had already disappeared, so she continued on with her day.“When she stopped at her destination she heard a kitten meowing, then heard it again when she got home later that day,” O.C. Fire Authority posted on Instagram.The woman knew the kitten was hiding somewhere in the car, but she couldn’t figure out exactly where. So, she decided to stop by Fire Station 61 and ask for help.The frightened kitten was found hiding in the underbody of the woman's SUV. June 2023. Yucca Valley man arrested for DUI after hitting motorcyclist San Bernardino County police arrested a man for driving under the influence after he slammed into a motorcyclist on Sunday in Yucca Valley. At approximately 5 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a traffic collision with reported injuries near Emerson Avenue and Arcadia Trail. According to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department news release, 35-year-old Brian Holdren was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Arcadia Trail, when he was struck by  26-year-old Latee Ison, who was driving the other vehicle. Holdren was transported to High Desert Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. Ison was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI traffic collision with injuries. He was booked at the Central Detention on a $250,000 bail.

Rafter missing after boat capsized in Glenwood Canyon DENVER (KDVR) -- A rafter went missing after his boat capsized in the Colorado River on Sunday afternoon, the Garfield County Sheriff's Office said. The Glenwood Springs Fire Department and GCSO responded to a report of a missing rafter near Grizzly Creek in Glenwood Canyon just after 2 p.m. on Sunday.The sheriff's office said a father and son got in the river at Grizzly Creek and planned on traveling to the New Castle area. The boat flipped shortly after entering the water and the son was able to swim to shore. The 65-year-old father was seen by witnesses holding onto the raft as it quickly headed down the rapids, according to GCSO. First responders focused their search on both banks from the Grizzly Creek Rest area to Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs, the sheriff's office said. Efforts continued until dusk and then ended for the night. GCSO said search and rescue will continue to scour the river in the area. 'Way more than deaths than we'd like:' River safety in focus as high water levels continue DENVER (KDVR) -- Multiple rivers across the state are seeing high water flows due to moisture but officials warn that in some spots, water levels are exceptionally dangerous. “There have been three water-related deaths on the Arkansas River in the past week," Joey Livingston, with Colorado Parks and Wildlife said Monday.Livingston said so far this year across the state there have been a total of 15 water-related deaths. He said there have been five deaths on the Colorado River and four deaths on the Arkansas River. Woman dies after rafting accident in Colorado River “It's concerning to see the amount of fatalities we have seen," Livingston said.
