SAN DIEGO -- The name, crest and colors of San Diego's new Major League Soccer (MLS) team were unveiled in front of thousands of fans Friday during a presentation at Snapdragon Stadium.San Diego FC will be the name of the professional soccer league's 30th team, officials said in a news release. "When we say San Diego this includes the entire region, including all 18 cities in San Diego County plus the cross border communities in Mexico. San Diego has a rich sporting history, deep talent pool and has long been considered the heart of soccer development in America," the team said.The "FC" in San Diego FC represents "a Football Club" competing on the global stage in the world's game, while the term "Club" symbolizes the club's owners, players, employees, partners, fans and supporters, it was said in the release. The team's colors are Chrome and Azul. CHICAGO -- A 20-year-old has been arrested after allegedly beating three people with a baseball bat in Lincoln Park on Wednesday.According to the Chicago Police Department, 20-year-old Julius Wilkerson reportedly beat three people in less than 15 minutes on the 2000 block of North Burling Street in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18. CHICAGO — A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was shot in the leg on the city's South Side. According to Chicago police, the shooting happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday night in the 400 block of East 50th Place in the city's Grand Boulevard neighborhood. Police say the teen boy was standing near a street in the area when he was hit in the leg by gunfire. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person was ejected after a single-vehicle rollover near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on Friday, Austin-Travis County EMS said on social media.Shortly after 9:30 p.m., medics responded to the crash at 1000 S SH 130, which is near Tesla Road, for the crash involving two people in one vehicle. The new venue is expected to draw at least 600,000 participants each year, generate $2 million in annual sales tax, and create around 500 new jobs.
