Heartbeat of Mexico festival held in Orange

A celebration of Mexican culture, tradition and family took over the streets of Orange on Sunday, as part of Chapman University's Heartbeat of Mexico Festival. The Musco Center for the Arts has been hosting the festival since 2016 in cooperation with the Chapman University LatinX Staff and Faculty Forum. The event hosted more than 15 community acts with dancers and musicians. “It really represents who they are in different regions of Mexico, bringing all that together in one place to let us really appreciate how lucky we are to live in Southern California with that rich history,” Jen Marchese Ernst, the director of Programming for the Musco Center for the Arts, told KTLA. Roger Craig, the manager who brought “Humm Baby” to San Francisco Giants lore and turned the franchise around from its lowest point in history, has died, the team announced on Sunday. (AP) — Tre Richardson hit two grand slams among his three home runs and tied an NCAA postseason record with 11 RBIs to lead TCU to a 20-5 rout of Arkansas on Sunday in a winner’s bracket game of the Fayetteville Regional.Richardson hit a grand slam in the first inning and another in the second. (AP) — Nick Monistere hit a two-run double in the sixth, Matthew Etzel followed with a two-RBI single and Kros Sivley and Chandler Dawson worked four innings of scoreless relief as Southern Miss beat Samford, 9-4 in an elimination game at the Auburn Regional on Sunday. DENVER (KDVR) -- The Denver Nuggets lost to the Miami Heat 108-111 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals Sunday night at Ball Arena. The Heat came out blazing going up at one point in the first quarter 21-10 but the Nuggets battled back to take and hold on to the lead into halftime. Denver led 57-51 at halftime after they built a substantial lead in the second quarter. But Miami continued to chip away and climb back within six. At the half, Max Strus led all Heat scorers with 14 points while Nikola Jokic had 13 for Denver. The Nuggets led 83-75 going into the fourth quarter with Jokic having taken over the game leading all scorers with 31 points. But the Heat took the lead and held onto it through the fourth quarter to win it. Miami scored 36 points in the fourth to win 111 to 108. Jokic finished the game with 41 points.
